Of course I don't think they are the best this or that. For the most part, I feel sorry for the R&F just trying to do what they think is right in order to give themselves and their families the best shot at something really great (read too good to be true) while going about it in the most harmful way ever. I feel nothing for the PO's, CO's, DO's, and GB's. They have too much power over others for me to feel sorry for them. The R&F on the other hand feel like they don't have a choice. They are mentally trapped by the alphabet soup group.

Some of them just don't know any better, yet. Give them time on the board and they should mellow out a lot. There is so much to learn here and it takes time. Some of them are really traumatized from a lifetime of exposure to the cult, and they don't even know it. Poor things.

I think he would be rich by working that awsome power for kings. He would have had a pretty good life, had he been real and lived back then.

Do goddesses in training get to be Gryfindors?
I wanna be a Gryfindor!
Actually, I don't think Harry Potter was Jewish, and I don't think he would be interested in joining such a Dursley-like nation. Three of them were bad enough.

JW religion is not all that bad really
by veen ini know we all have issues with the borg, but really i think there are far more despicable religions on the go, namely american style evangelical christianity.
i'm watching a film called 'jesus camp' as i type and all i can say is any of you idiots who post on here who say you left the jw's and have now found jesus are totally retarded.
you really need to get a grip on reality and stop needing religion as a crutch.

As an older student at a university, my nose is pretty much trained in how to sniff out immature people. I smell ya! Yuck! Are you really 29, or are you 19? Do you feel brave posting such offensive statements on an almost anonymous board?

FHN,
Well said! Those with rock hard self esteem tend to like to simplify it into a few little broadly defined words. Those words mean nothing to the hurting one.
You hit the nail on the head. That is a pat statement that no one can give up self esteem if they don't allow it, or something like that. Well guess what? Those rude people TAKE IT. STEAL IT! Or they trample someone down further who was already down. Smart statements are worthless unless one knows how to keep their self esteem or grow it. Simply saying that no one can take it without your permission is wasted words if one doesn't know how to grow it or keep it in the first place.
I'm currently learning how to redefine hurtful words. "Don't allow it" aren't good words to describe what goes on in the hurt person's mind. There must be a redefining of the rudeness. It's a long learning process that is not easy like that statement makes it sound like.
"No one can hurt you unless you let them" is a statement of affirmation for those who have already mastered "letting it run off a duck's back." It takes a lot of work to get to that point.

Dispelling Watchtower Myths of RC Beliefs
by Amazing inover the last two years, as i moved back to the catholic church, i have been confronted with objections by several people regarding certain catholic teachings.
these concerns are almost always the same, and are founded in mythology created by the watchtower society, and some evangelical denominations.
god can and does use fallible men to do infallible things?

I really appreciate the clarification of these points. I like to know what people REALLY believe.
Other religions actually believe and teach that witches worship the devil and drink blood and do sacrifices.
I've also heard degrogatory talk of Catholicism by protestants. They refuse to listen to the truth about people and their beliefs. They want to keep believing horrible things about "those not of our sort."
It still ticks me off that others will argue with me when I say that yes, JW's do believe in Jesus. They get all mad and everything.

Wasn't Fight Club a Brad Pitt movie? My son and I watched it. It was great! The guy ends up being crazy. He only imagines the Brad Pitt character. He's crazy! Great psycho thriller guy flick style. I like a lot of guy flicks. Drank beer while watching it, too!

Yeah, I don't get The Matrix movies. I need to watch them again but they were so boring. I have to watch everything on closed caption, you know, read the words as they are talking. I miss so much sometimes doing it that way. What are those movies about, anyway?
